Hero Motocorp is gearing up fast in different bike segments lately. With quite a few spy shots of its bikes under testing, more is expected in near future. Although it currently dominates the more economical commuter segment of motorcycles, it is planning to tighten the grip in other segments too. The recent update in line with this is the spotting of Hero Xtreme 200S 4V in yellow paint job at a dealership.
Let's look at the developments and when can you expect more new offerings.
Hero Xtreme 200S 4V In Yellow Launching Soon
With more bikes incoming in the 100cc and also 150cc, the portfolio is getting stronger for Hero. The segment of 150cc and above is the space with the hottest action currently. Karizma 210, Xtreme 200S 4V, Xpulse 420cc, Xtreme 420cc, Xtreme 160R, etc to name a few. You get the point that we are making.
The latest development is the spotting of Hero Xtreme 200S 4V at a dealership. Apart from a nascent paint job, the design remains the exact same as the 200S 2V. This fresh dual-tone black and yellow theme can be seen in these images. The launch could soon take place, as the bike is ready for hitting the roads.
The current 200S 2V employs a 199.6cc single-cylinder, 2-valve, oil-cooled engine that churns out 17.8 bhp and 16.45 Nm of peak torque. The upcoming motorcycle will feature the same engine but with a 4-valve setup. This means that not only the performance gets a boost, but also the fuel efficiency. This unit will continue to be paired with the same 5-speed gearbox. The power figures will see a rise.

High On Tech- Features Incoming
In terms of features on board, this will not be a disappointment. Xtreme 200S gets a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, showcasing varied data stats and warnings. It comes with Hero Connect Telematics for the connected bike tech that makes use of an embedded e-sim for connectivity.
The location features make use of Google Maps to offer features including Geo-fencing, real-time mileage alert, last parking location, and in-built navigation to name a few. The starting price can be expected to be somewhere around Rs. 1.4 lakh mark.
VERDICT- The Xtreme 200S 4V is yet another shot by the giant manufacturer at segment dominance. After having the commuter segment as its home turf already, this is just a natural progression. A lot of new promising products are already in the pipeline, including the iconic Karizma on the cards too.
