Hyundai Creta EV - To Get Interior Changes
The newly spotted test mule was covered in heavy camouflage but revealed some of the design details. The front profile gets a similar LED DRL setup as the new Creta facelift. We expect the front grille to be the same but it will be closed for the EV version. The side profile gets a new design for the alloy wheels which are more aerodynamic and EV friendly. At the rear, a similar LED tail lamp setup is available as the ICE version.
On the inside, some major changes are expected. It will get the same dual-connected screen setup for the infotainment and instrument cluster. The major change will be the new steering wheel design which we've seen on the Hyundai EVs available in the global market. Also, the EV will get a steering stack-mounted drive mode selector.
These changes will make it different as compared to the ICE variant. We can also expect a new upholstery colour to give it a different look. The Creta is already a well-equipped SUV and the EV version will be no less.
As of now, the brand has not revealed the battery specifications or any other details about the upcoming Creta EV. We anticipate that the Creta EV will get a substantial battery pack which will give it a range of around 500 km.
Verdict
Hyundai Creta EV will be the first mass-market EV from the South-Korean manufacturer in India. The Creta EV will come with a plethora of features and it will compete with the upcoming Tata Curvv EV, and upcoming Mahindra BE EVs.
