The price of Vespa and Aprilia scooters has been raised yet again by Piaggio India. The brand increased the price of the Aprilia line up last month, and the costs have now increased much more. The disc brake variant of the Aprilia Storm 125cc scooter has just been discontinued, leaving only the drum brake variant on the market.
Vespa Scooters Price Hike
The Vespa 125cc scooter range begins with the ZX 125, which is now priced at Rs 1.15 lakh, followed by the VXL 125, which is now priced at Rs 1.29 lakh, and the SXL 125, which is now priced at Rs 1.33 lakh. Moving on to the 150cc lineup, the VXL 150 is now priced at Rs 1.42 lakh, while the SXL 125 is now priced at Rs 1.47 lakh.
The Racing Sixties series is also offered by Vespa, and the price increase has affected it as well; the Racing Sixties 125 now costs Rs 1.39 lakh, while the Racing Sixties 150 costs Rs 1.53 lakh. In addition, the Elegante model is now available for Rs 1.55 lakh. These are all ex-showroom prices in Delhi.
Aprilia Scooters Price Hike
The most affordable Aprilia Storm 125 now costs Rs 1.11 lakh rather than Rs 1.06 lakh, thanks to a price rise of Rs 5,000. The Aprilia SR RST 125 has also had a price increase, and now costs Rs 1.21 lakh, up from Rs 1.15 lakh previously.
After a hike of Rs 4,000 those who want to buy the SR RST Carbon edition must now spend Rs 1.32 lakh instead of Rs 1.28 lakh, while those who want to buy the SR RST Race edition must now pay Rs 1.39 lakh instead of Rs 1.35 lakh. The Aprilia SR RST 160 now costs Rs 1.30 lakh instead of Rs 1.26 lakh.
The Aprilia SXR 160, the brand's flagship model in India, has witnessed a price increase of Rs 4,000, and is now available for Rs 1.42 lakh, up from Rs 1.38 lakh previously. The SXR 125's price has also risen, and it now costs Rs 1.31 lakh.
There are no mechanical or design changes in any of the Vespa and Aprilia scooters as a result of the price increase.
