Variant Recommendation
The Hyundai Venue N-line comes in 2 variants and two transmission options. Since it has N6 and N8, we would recommend going for the N6 variant if you are ready to compromise with ADAS safety. This variant misses on some features but is a Value-for-money variant. If you want a complete package and every feature inside, then opt for the N8 variant. Both are available in manual and automatic transmission. You can choose according to your preference.
Pros & Cons of Hyundai Venue N Line
Should I buy the Venue N Line?
If you are looking for a fun-to-drive, powerful sub 4m compact SUV then Hyundai Venue N-line is a great choice. A 1L turbocharged petrol engine powers it. It not only provides good performance but also offers some segment-first features like Dashcam or ADAS. The thumpy exhaust system and sporty character with red inserts will be your preference if you are considering the TGD-i system.
- It comes equipped with 1 engine, a 1 L TGDI engine with both automatic and manual transmission. It offers brilliant performance but fuel efficiency has always been a question of concern.
- The 1.0 L TGDI motor is good in performance with 120 BHP of power and 175 Nm torque, mated to a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. This engine is quite refined and has a decent fuel efficiency of 10-15 Km/L in the city. But on driving aggressively, it can return in single digits as well.
- There is some low-end lag which can be felt but post-2000 RPM the mid-range is the sweetest with the turbo pull. The manual transmission is a sheer joy of driving for enthusiast.
- The design of the regular Venue and the N-line variant is similar. The N-line variant gets better characteristics with the red inserts. The headlights are strong with good illumination at night.
- The dual-tone color scheme in shadow grey color looks very appealing on this vehicle. The gloss black finish with red minimal inserts enhances the overall aesthetics of the regular VENUE.
- From the rear, it has the same charm and characteristics as the front design. The dual exhaust tip makes it look more sportier and sounds sweet on revving. The silver skid plates at the front and rear enhance the overall appearance of the VENUE.
- The interiors of the Venue N-line are sporty and functional at the same time. The list of features is long and there are some segment-first features as well like a dashcam. The fit and finish quality of the materials are on the premium side.
- The steering gets paddle shifters ( in DCT ) and an N logo which has red stitching on the joints. The overall cabin gives you a sporty feel with the red inserts in different areas.
- The plastic at the lower end is hard and a bit scratchy, but, features like ventilated seats, wireless charging, and sunroof take the lead.
- It has an 8-inch infotainment screen with ANDROID AUTO and APPLE CARPLAY connectivity. It also has Bluetooth, etc., with a good touch response and no lag. The display is crisp and easy to read.
- The TFT digital instrument cluster is crisp in display. It provides a plethora of information. You can access fuel efficiency, trip details, digital speedometer, and tachometer.
- It comes equipped with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, and Traction control. It also has plenty of other safety features to enhance passenger security.
- For the N6 variant, there is no ADAS but a dashcam is present and the N8 variant has ADAS level 1 but misses on dashcam.
- The suspension setup of the Venue N-line is slightly o n the stiffer side. This makes it a driver's delight for an enthusiast but the comfort is reduced. The 16-inch alloys help in good ride quality. The 205-profile tires offer stupendous grip levels on the tarmac.
- The rear seat comfort is decent and bumps and potholes do filter in sometimes. The steering wheel offers a good amount of feedback and at triple-digit speeds, it provides confidence to push hard beyond the limits.
- The cabin offers good insulation from all types of noises, whether road noise, wind noise, or tire noise. Hardly anything filters inside the cabin. The sound output from the speakers is also equivalent to the premium ones offered by the competition. Music lovers will not be disappointed.
