Last Updated on 23rd Feb'24: The new 5-door Thar is expected to hit the market soon, possibly named the Mahindra Thar Armada. Ahead of its expected release in August, new information about the SUV's interior has emerged along with spy shots.

Price : The upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door SUV is set to hit the Indian market with an anticipated price tag of around Rs 15.00 Lakh.

Mahindra Thar 5-door Features : The upcomin thar will include a larger touchscreen, digital driver's display, and dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents. It also features push-button start/stop, remote keyless entry, cruise control, and power windows. Safety-wise, it's equipped with TPMS, four or six airbags, ABS, EBD, hill hold and descent control systems, traction control, and seat belt pre-tensioners with load limiters. Additionally, it offers ISOFIX anchor points, a 360-degree camera setup, and rear parking sensors.

Mahindra Thar 5-door Engine:The upcoming 5-door Thar is set to come with the same engine options as its 3-door counterpart: a 2-liter turbo petrol and a 2.2-liter diesel, albeit with some tweaks for better performance. Both manual and automatic transmissions will be available for these engines. Mahindra plans to offer the 5-door Thar with both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) setups.

Dimensions : The upcoming 5-door version of the Thar is set to be noticeably larger than the 3-door thar. While the Jimny measures 3,985mm in length, the Thar will exceed this dimension. Moreover, it will boast greater width and height.

Mahindra Thar 5-door Rivals : It will be in direct competition with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the 5-door Force Gurkha.
