Hi, I'm Tejen. I was born and brought up in a small town of Haryana. However, from the day of my birth and until now, I've always lived around cars and motorcycles. More than passion, the automotive world is my only lifestyle. It's the connection to the vehicle that delivers me peace. However, when it comes to a choice; my instinct leads me towards motorcycles.

BMW G 310 RR is now launched in India at Rs 2.85 lakh. We compare the most affordable sports bike from BMW with its sibling TVS Apache RR 310 neck-to-neck.

BMW G 310 RR has launched in India at a starting price of Rs 2.85 lakh ex-showroom. With its launch, it has also become the most affordable sports bike BMW in India. The new G 310 is largely similar to the sibling bike from TVS in every term.

So what is the logic to buy any of these and why? Well, we present to you the top 5 key differences between both these cousin bikes to help make your buying decision easier.

BMW G 310 RR vs TVS Apache RR 310 - Different Price

The first and the blandest difference between the two bikes is the pricing. The BMW G 310 RR is priced at Rs 2.85 lakh for the standard variant and Rs 2.99 lakh for the Style Sports variant. While this might be the most affordable BMW sports ba, it definitely is pricier than its sibling bike.

TVS Apache RR 310 sports bike is sold for Rs 2.65 lakh for the Standard version across India. Additionally, the race kit options hike the price to Rs 2.87 lakh. Even with all the options ticked in the brochure, the TVS Apache is still around Rs 20,000 cheaper than the BMW sibling bike.

Different Colours

The second difference is the availability of colours. The pain shades on the BMW G 310 RR are different as seen on the TVS Apache RR 310. While the Apache is available in a red, black, and white (race-spec) shades; the BMW bike comes with two different variants.

The Standard version endorses a black colour with minimal body graphics. The all-black treatment looks similar to the one on TVS sibling but the graphics are different altogether. The Style Sport version comes with the uber cool BMW Motorrad colours and body graphics for more price.

Different Tyres

Yes, the tyres used on both the bikes are of different quality. As the TVS Apache RR 310 comes with the Michelin rubber, the BMW cousin also comes with the same brand tyre. The difference between the two is that the TVS uses Michelin Road 5s and the BMW uses Michelin Pilot Street.

Although the engine and tech specs are the same on both bikes, we suspect that the tyres difference will definitely change the handling characteristics of the BMW bike.

Different Brakes

Technically both of these motorcycles come with the same brakes. A single 300 mm disc brake at the front and a single 240 mm disc brake at the rear; is the standard combination.

But, the TVS Apache uses petal discs at both ends while the BMW G 310 uses the generic regular discs. The petal discs are known for strong and effective brake bite. Although we can not comment on the brakes until we ride the BMW.

Different TFT Screen & Suspension

Yes, you read it right. The TFT screen is different on both bikes. The size of the screen is similar and so is the design but that's it. The graphics used and the layout with the backdrop colour is completely different on the BMW and TVS.

Additionally, the BMW does not come with Bluetooth smartphone connectivity. This comes to us as a big surprise considering the pricing of the newly launched bike.

Also, the front suspension on the TVS is completely adjustable but the BMW only offers the preload adjustment. There is not even an option like the Race Kit in TVS; to opt for the adjustable front USD forks.

So, these are the major and the only differences between these two sibling bikes. Do comment down below and tell us your choice between these two bikes.
