Toyota Innova Crysta Launched In BS6 Form; Price Starts At Rs 15.36 Lakh

With the nearing of the latest emission norms due on April 1, 2020, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has brought in the BS6 Innova Crysta to the market. The crowd-pleasing MPV of the country now starts at Rs 15.36 lakh for the base petrol model and the base diesel trim starts at Rs 16.14 lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.

The prices of the petrol BS6 Toyota Innova Crysta has gone up by Rs 63,000 for some trims, however, it is the oil burner which will burn your pocket more. The BS6 Toyota Innova Crysta diesel prices sit at a hike of 59k to 113k for the mid-spec VX variant. The prices of the Touring Sport trim of Innova Crysta gets dearer between Rs 41,000 to Rs 1 lakh. It starts at a price of Rs 24.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

In terms of cosmetic changes then the BS6 version of the Innova Crysta is unaltered. The notable thing is under the hood for the oil burner as the BS6 trim is only available in 2.4L turbocharged diesel engine. Earlier, it was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission but now it gets a 6-speed automatic gearbox as optional too. Mind you, the prices of the BS6 Innova Crysta are introductory and may rise in the coming months.

Safety features like Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Assist Control and Emergency Brake Signal are standard across all trims of the BS6 Innova Crysta. One can book the Crysta across all Toyota Dealerships and the deliveries of it will begin from February 2020.

Talking more on the BS6 emission norms and on the launch of new Innova Crysta, Mr Naveen Soni, Senior Vice President, Sales & Services said, "The Government, auto industry and oil industry have together worked tirelessly with full commitment to usher in the cleaner BS-VI emission norms in a record time. Under these norms, the regulatory vehicle emission limits for particulate matter 2.5 (PM 2.5) will be same irrespective of the size of the car as well as for cars that run on CNG, petrol or diesel.
