Pros & Cons of Suzuki V-Strom SX 250
Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 Detailed Review
The Suzuki V Strom SX 250 is built on the same platform as the Gixxer. The Suzuki V-Strom SX is an adventure bike that can be used for occasional off-road outings as well as daily commuting. The SX borrows the beak design from the Strom-branded DR-Z BIG off-road racer and DR-Z Dakar rally racer bikes. The remainder of the Strom line-up shares the same design. Built on the principle of "Toughness in a Slender Shell," the Strom-body SXs features a slender shell that conceals the engine and gives it a rugged, adventurous appearance. The design includes a single-pod headlight, a tall stance, a strong fuel tank, a tall windscreen, and a front fender in the beak style. Champion Yellow No. 2, Pearl Blaze Orange, and Glass Sparkle Black are the three colour choices offered.
Summary
The SX receives the beak design from the DR-Z BIG off-road racer bike and the DR-Z Dakar rally race bike under the Strom moniker.
The Suzuki V-Strom SX's 249cc, oil-cooled, four-valve engine generates 26.1 bhp and 22.2 Nm of torque. High speeds can be handled by the V-Strom SX while still feeling comfortable at higher RPMs. Even triple digits can be attained when cruising at speeds of 80 to 90 kph without taxing the engine. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission. The output of the engine is quick and responsive. You can open the throttle with confidence on highways and one can easily maneuver it on high speeds.
Summary
The Suzuki V-Strom SX is powered by a decent quarter-litre engine which is already tried and tested in the Gixxer 250 twins.
Telescoping front forks and a mono-shock at the back make up the suspension setup. Both wheels' anchoring mechanisms are single discs, and dual-channel ABS regulates the safety net. On 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, the V-Strom SX is fitted with dual-purpose 100/90 front and 140/70 rear tubeless tyres. Dual-channel ABS is combined with 300 mm front and 220 mm rear disc brakes to provide braking power. Telescopic, coil-spring, oil-damped suspensions are used for the front and Swing arm type, and coil-spring, oil-damped suspensions for the back.
The octagonal-shaped LED headlamps seem to have been brought over from the Gixxer 250. The LED taillights, however, were created separately. Among the standout features are the Suzuki Easy Start System, Suzuki Ride Connect, and a USB port for charging. The former makes starting the bike exceedingly convenient, whereas the latter enables the rider to sync their mobile phones to the on-board dashboard. Incoming calls, SMS alerts, missed calls, speed override warnings, phone battery levels, and more displays are added after that.
Summary
The brakes on the ADV are rather effective for making a quick stop and in emergency braking conditions. It is also equipped with features.
The Suzuki V-Strom SX is 2,180 mm long, 880 mm wide, 1,355 mm tall, 1,440 mm wide, 205 mm high above the ground, and 835 mm high from the seat to the ground. Being an ADV, the motorcycle has a somewhat higher seat height, making it harder for shorter riders to get on and off. The fit and finish on this motorcycle are exceptional and outstanding. Nothing rattles, no cables or wires are twisted, no panel gaps exist.
Summary
The motorcycle's seat is a little high, making it challenging for shorter riders to sit on the vehicle.
