Both the Bajaj bikes are different in their styling and appearance; it all boils down to what someone prefers. You cannot go wrong with either of them and there is no parameter to declare a winner. However, coming down to the concrete numbers, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z gets a higher seating, albeit by just 7mm. However, if you are a relatively shorter rider, you will find it easy with the Dominar 400. But just a gap of 7 mm won't make that much of a difference. It also gets a higher ground clearance of 11 mm, which will help you a little bit more to avoid scraping its underbelly.

In terms of safety, you get a switchable dual channel ABS, traction control system, front and rear disc brakes, hazard lights (a Pulsar first), and more.

The Bajaj Dominar 400, on the other hand, offers a decent set of tech for the rider. It comes with an information-heavy LCD display instrument cluster along with an additional screen on the fuel tank delivering additional info. It gets auto headlamps in LED set-up, dual channel ABS, front disc brake, slipper clutch, and more. In terms of overall features, you will find the Bajaj Pulsar offering a bit more than the Dominar 400.

Both the bikes share the same 373.3 cc DOHC single-cylinder engine featuring 4 valves and liquid cooling, the Dominar delivers 40 PS power at 8800 rpm and 35 Nm torque at 6500 rpm. They are equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and multi-plate clutch with assist and slipper functions. However, if you look at the kerb weights, the Bajaj Pulsar NZ400Z is lighter by 19 kgs and this difference will make the Pulsar feel more agile and quick to respond than the Bajaj Dominar.
