2022 Suzuki Hayabusa GP Edition is revealed globally. The new limited edition has been inspired by the MotoGP team livery.
The Suzuki Hayabusa remains one of the most iconic motorcycles around the globe. In its current generation, the Hayabusa offers an explosive performance, alien looks, & most importantly amazing reliability. However, Suzuki has thought to revamp it a little bit more. How? Well, the 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa GP Edition has been unveiled globally. This limited edition is based on Suzuki's factory team livery present in the MotoGP racing.
Hayabusa GP Edition Details
So, what does the GP Edition offers? Well, for beginners, it has two amazing paint schemes. Although, both of these pain schemes use a shared base paint as seen on Suzuki's MotoGP bikes. The blue, and silver shade has been well mixed with a red and lime green livery. Additionally, the body graphics are also inspired by Suzuki's MotoGP team. However, the changes are not just limited to this. According to the company, it also endorses technical upgrades.
The GP Edition equips with a full system Akrapovic exhaust. It helps in increasing the power and performance of the bike. Additionally, it is equipped with a performance air filter as well to support the air intake. However, to make it road legal Suzuki has done all the necessary work on it. For example, it has the headlight, taillight, indicators, rearview mirrors, and number plate holders as well.
Meanwhile, Suzuki has showcased two models of this livery. One has been dedicated to Joan Mir and the other to Alex Rins. These both are the official riders of the team Suzuki in MotoGP. However, Suzuki announced earlier that it is leaving the MotoGP due to not having enough funds. Additionally, the riders have already secured their places in different teams for the upcoming season.
However, if you are wondering whether the engine has been updated or not; it's not. The Hayabusa continues using its massive 1340cc, inline-4, liquid-cooled engine. This unit makes 190 PS of peak power. Meanwhile, its main rivals in India are - Honda CBR1000RR-R and BMW S1000 RR.
