Mercedes-Benz EQS Facelift - New Design, More Features, Bigger Battery
Mercedes-Benz is all set to revive the global sales of its EQS sedan with the new facelift. During a recent earnings call for investors, the officials confirmed new features and design revisions on the facelifted model. A teaser image was also shown that has a traditional front grille design similar to the S-class.
Moreover, the customers will have the option to opt between the regular grille or the three-pointed-star logo and grille. The officials also confirmed that the rear bench will be replaced with the 'individual seats' offering customized features. The 'personalization' themes and individual packages for tailor-made interiors will also be offered on it.
Mercedes also updated its EQS SUV globally earlier this year. It has a revised battery pack that offers 50 km of additional driving range than the outgoing model. We expect that the same battery pack will be offered on the EQS sedan as well. The global debut is expected by the end of this year. The Indian launch of the updated model will take place early next year with all the updates carried over. The current rival of the EQS in India is the BMW i7.
Verdict
Mercedes-Benz buyers include posh customers who love the brand panache and the luxuriously rich history attached to it. The traditional front grille design is an emblem of the success. The addition of this grille and new personalized features will make EQS a better sedan than ever.
