MG Motors has revised the price list of some of the models under its roof. After taking the MG Hector price list richer, the MG Hector Plus price has also been increased by up to Rs. 40,000. Meanwhile, various manufacturers offered discounts and offers up until Diwali and few of them have started to roll back to their regular pricing.

MG Motor has increased the prices of its popular SUV, the MG Hector, across its various variants. The petrol variants, including the Style, Shine, Smart, and Smart EX, have witnessed price hikes ranging from Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 35,000, while the top-tier Smart Pro and Sharp Pro have seen an increase of Rs. 40,000. The diesel variant, specifically the Smart, has been subjected to a price hike of Rs. 24,000, while the Smart Pro and Sharp Pro diesel variants face an increment of Rs. 40,000.
Previously, the MG Hector also witnessed a similar trend where the price hike was up to Rs. 40,000 in that case as well.

Powertrain
Mechanically, the MG Hector Plus is the identical twin of its smaller sibling, the MG Hector. It is available in both petrol and diesel options. The 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine offers 143 PS of peak power and a maximum torque of 250Nm. The engine is mated with a 6-speed manual and CVT transmission. On the other hand, the 2.0-liter diesel engine offers 170 PS power and 350 Nm torque coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Verdict
After dropping the price of MG Hector Plus in september 2023, the price revision has taken it towards its original status. While the festive season saw multiple discounts and offers, they are bound to go back to the original mark. Plus, price hikes are not a surprising move. The industry revises its rate list to keep in line with rising costs and inflation.
