Tata Harrier EV: Design and Features
The new Harrier EV will be based on the Acti.EV platform. This platform has recently debuted with the Punch EV. However, the overall design of it will look similar to the ICE version. Moreover, the only changes on the outside are the new alloy wheels, a different front grille, and aerodynamic upgrades.
Feature-wise, the cabin will be similar to the ICE version but become roomier. It is because of the new Acti.EV architecture, the interior space will increase. Tata will equip it with the latest features, like a digital instrument console, a bigger infotainment display, and ADAS level 2 features.
Harrier EV Range, Price, and Launch Date
While there are no official details known about the battery capacity, we suspect that the Harrier EV will get up to 500 km range on a single charge. It is because of the new ground-up EV platform on which it is based. Moreover, heat management and battery performance have now increased due to this new platform.
Tata will sell the electric Harrier via its EV showrooms. We expect that it'll launch by the end of this year in India. The expected price range hovers around Rs 22 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. It'll rival the upcoming Mahindra BE.05 EV, once launched.
Verdict
Tata has gained immense succes via its EV portfolio. Now, with the new architecture that is more efficient, Tata aims higher. The launch of separate showroom chain is going to be fruitful as per the plans of the company. The Harrier EV will become a premium product for Tata buyers in the coming future.
