Tata Motors is making waves at the Bharat Mobility Show, featuring several products, with some slated for imminent market launches. Among these reveals is the Tata Nexon iCNG, equipped with the same dual-cylinder configuration as the Punch iCNG. Read details about the new Tata Nexon CNG below. Tata Nexon iCNG - Details
The upcoming Nexon iCNG will feature the same design as the updated Nexon. It will be equipped with a 1.2L Turbocharged petrol engine, marking India's first Turbocharged CNG offering in passenger vehicles. Utilizing the dual-cylinder technology seen in other Tata Motors CNG cars, the Nexon iCNG achieves a notable 260-litre boot space.
The Nexon iCNG will feature a factory-fitted CNG system equipped with a micro switch, advanced materials in the CNG kit to prevent leakage, thermal incident protection, a leak detection feature, a single advanced ECU for smooth and rapid transitions between CNG and Petrol modes, direct start in CNG, and automatic switching between fuels, among other notable features.
With the introduction of the new Nexon iCNG, the Nexon will stand out as the sole car in India offering multiple powertrain options, encompassing petrol, diesel, turbo petrol, and EV choices.
Internally, it will get similar features to the standard Nexon variants, including a dual 10.25-inch display, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, automatic climate control, wireless connectivity, and additional amenities.

Under the hood, it will feature a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine. While the brand has not disclosed the specifications and transmission details, it is likely to be paired with a manual transmission.
Verdict
The Tata Nexon iCNG is eagerly anticipated by CNG buyers. Presently, the only CNG SUV in this segment is the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG. The Nexon iCNG is expected to receive acclaim for providing a practical boot space, making it ideal for long journeys.
