What we admire in this car

The Fronx comes with muscular and sharp design

It offers multiple powertrain options: 1.2-litre NA Petrol, CNG, 1.0-litre Turbo Petrol

It offers a comfortable ride quality and suspension is well tuned

The interior is feature rich with 360-camera, head-up display, 9-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, Arkamys Sound

Simple and well arranged cabin with capabilities to sit 5 people

Good fuel efficiency with 1.2-litre petrol and CNG powertrain

Maruti's widespread sales and service network ensure a stress-free experience

What could have been better

It somewhat feels like a bigger version of the Baleno specially from sides

The turbo petrol engine choices is only available for the higher variants. This makes them slightly more expensive.

The quality of interior plastics doesn't quite match up to that of its competitors

It provides the smallest boot space in its segment, measuring at 308 liters

The rear seat may not be overly comfortable for taller passengers

The 1.0-litre turbo engine is quick. However, it doesn't deliver an enjoyable driving experience.

Some competitors like the Sonet, Venue have an advantage by offering diesel engines

Should I buy the Fronx?

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is an excellent choice for those looking for a car under Rs 10 lakh. It boasts an impressive range of features, ample space, reliability, and a fuel-efficient engine. It offers a satisfying ride quality and houses a dependable powertrain. However, if you're in the market for a diesel engine within this budget, you might want to consider the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, or Tata Nexon as alternatives. With that said, a hybrid variant is also expected to launch soon to offset the absence of a diesel option and deliver an even better fuel efficiency.
