Maruti Suzuki has sold a total of 1,81,838 units of passenger vehicles, which is 49,000 units more compared to the same month last year. It is a significant growth of 37%. The utility vehicles were the best performers with a total sales of 78,911, which is 30,200 units more compared to the same month last year. It is a significant growth of 62%. Whereas, the passenger cars grew 24%, adding about 17,800 units more than the previous year of September sales. At last, vans with 11,040 units sold, concluded a growth of 10%.

Maruti Suzuki has sold about 284,800 units more passenger vehicles in this financial year compared to the cumulative sales of last financial year, registering a significant growth of 36%. On average, Maruti Suzuki is selling about 180,000 passenger vehicles per month so far. September's volume of 181,838 units is slightly above this average.
Utility vehicles have been the key growth driver in the first half of the financial year, growing 43.6% to 455,692 units.
