Pros & Cons of Gravite
What we admire in this car
Excellent entry-level pricing makes it the most affordable 3-row MPV
Flexible seating configuration is a boon - including sliding & reclining 2nd row
Dual CNG cylinder set-up ensures all 3 rows can be used without a compromise
Ample practical storage spaces make it a great family tripping vehicle
Segment best extended warranty of 10 years, plus the lowest maintenance costs
The optional AMT gearbox makes urban driving easier, without sacrificing efficiency
What could have been better
A turbo petrol engine for the higher versions would have attracted more buyers
While the AMT gearbox is easy-going, with a full load, the setup feels sluggish
Very limited boot space with all 3-rows in place
While the CNG option offers low running costs, it comes with sluggish performance under full load.
Should I buy the Gravite?
The Nissan Gravite is ideal for buyers looking for an affordable and practical 7-seater with modern features and stylish design. It offers excellent value for money, spacious seating, and great flexibility with removable third-row seats, making it perfect for families and first-time buyers upgrading from a hatchback. If affordability, practicality, and everyday usability are your priorities, the Gravite is a strong choice.
- The Nissan Gravite features an imposing front fascia highlighted by a wide chrome strip above the grille, giving it a strong road presence. The front end also gets LED projector headlamps, a chunky sculpted bonnet, and a silver skid plate that adds a rugged touch to its MPV stance.
- Along the sides, the Gravite rides on 15-inch flex wheels and comes with a dual-tone roof and roof rails, enhancing its SUV-inspired styling. At the rear, it is equipped with LED tail-lamps, completing its modern and premium exterior design.
- It also features cool graphics across the rear door.
- Gravite MPV will be offered in five exterior colour options: white, onyx black, forest green, metallic grey, and a blade silver, and storm white, as revealed by Nissan India ahead of its debut.
Gravite body specifications:
| Wheel Size | R14 & R15 |
| Seating Capacity | 7 seaters |
| Ground Clearance | 182 mm |
| Boot Space | 625 liters |

- The Gravite is powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox, producing 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque.
- Nissan claims a fuel efficiency of 19.6 kmpl with the AMT and 19.3 kmpl with the manual gearbox.
- With seven occupants on board, the engine feels underpowered and fuel efficiency drops noticeably. However, with two or three people inside, performance feels adequate, and highway fuel efficiency is around 15 to 16 kmpl. That said, it isn’t the most refined 1.0-litre engine, but it gets the job done for everyday use.
- It comes equipped with an 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This allows seamless smartphone connectivity for navigation, calls, and media. It also enhances the cabin’s modern and premium appeal.
- The driver display is all digital and provides all the information in an easy to read manner.
- Six airbags are offered as standard, including front, side, and curtain airbags. This significantly improves occupant protection and aligns it with modern safety standards.
- Equipped with JBL speakers.
- The Nissan Gravite comes with cruise control, which improves highway comfort by maintaining a constant speed and reducing driver fatigue. It also gets front parking sensors for easier manoeuvring in tight spaces, along with automatic headlamps that improve visibility and convenience.
- Additionally, removable third-row seats allow for more boot space when needed, enhancing overall practicality, while copious storage spaces, including a cooled glove box, further improve convenience and usability.

- Solid safety suite comes as standard with six airbags across all variants, complemented by Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), ABS with EBD, and Brake Assist System (BAS) to provide greater confidence in varied driving conditions.
- The Gravite also features front and rear parking sensors, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), automatic hazard lights under heavy braking, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and three-point seatbelts for all occupants, making it a reassuring choice for family buyers.
- With over 30 standard active and passive safety features, including seatbelt reminders for every seat, rear child locks, speed alerts, and door-ajar warnings, the Gravite offers a good level of safety for the occupants. Although it hasn’t yet undergone any crash test ratings.
