Kia India is a sister brand to Hyundai that made its official debut in 2019. The South Korean carmaker marked its innings with the Hyundai Creta rival, Kia Seltos and ever since its launch, it is one of the best-selling mid-size SUVs in its segment. Kia then moved on to bring a premium product, Carnival, to compete against the Toyota Innova Crysta. Made available in 7,8 and 9 seating configurations, the Carnival boasted all the latest tech and modern features that one might think of. Later, they introduced Sonet in 2020, a compact SUV to take on products like Hyundai Venue and Maruti Brezza. Needless to say, this too turned out to be a success for them as Sonet was the first mass-segment car to offer an iMT gearbox which was quite new to the Indian market.
Moving towards 2021, the carmaker revealed its new logo and slogan. The latter read, Movement that inspires and their new logo features ‘symmetry, rhythm’ and ‘rising’ elements that embody Kia’s confidence and commitment to its customers.
In 2022, the South Korean carmaker introduced Carens which again turned out to be a massive hit for those looking for a budget MPV. This product mostly targets the buyers of Maruti Ertiga and XL6.
Kia India also has a premium electric crossover, Ioniq 5 in the Indian market that offers performance, luxury and safety.
