About KIA Carnival

Was India ready for an expensive Rs 30 lakh people mover? Kia seems to have done their homework right with the Carnival as it has gone on to become a hit of sorts. This limousine MPV is aimed at those looking at a luxury vehicle that can seat as many as 10 people in comfort levels that are better than most German offerings out there in the market. And while doing so, the company has loaded up this MPV with features never been seen in the Indian car market. This includes the motorized doors which make getting in and out super easy while elevating the oomph factor as well.

The Carnival is a large vehicle and overshadows the Innova too when it comes to road presence. This is what gives it a massive street presence too and with such generous dimensions, the cabin allows for multiple seating configurations to match your needs. In terms of driving behavior, the Carnival turns out to be an easy-going vehicle and it doesn’t take you too long to get used to the size. You need to slightly extra careful in traffic but otherwise, the light controls and good visibility make it a good urban and highway runner.

The poke from the 2.2-litre motor is more than ample and an automatic gearbox is standard across all the trims. This unit is powerful and the NVH or the noise, vibration and harshness levels on the inside are impressive. Overall, the Carnival is an apt upgrade for those Innova customers who had nothing to look forward to all these years.
