Skoda Octavia VRS Hybrid

Last Updated On 1st Aug'22: Skoda recently increased the prices of its regular Octavia sedan in India. The new prices of the Skoda Octavia now range between Rs 26.85-29.85 lakh ex-showroom pan India.

Skoda is considering to bring the Octavia vRS but in its plug-in hybrid form. What it means is that it will get a TSI engine along with an electric motor. The power figure remains the same as before but the torque is now increased than before. It will be launched in India early next year and will be brought in the market via the CBU route. 

Engine Options

Under the hood, the Octavia now gets a downsized 1.4L TSI motor. Yes, the bigger and more powerful 2.0L TSI is now axed for this model. The smaller motor pumps out 150 hp but with the help of the 13kWh battery pack that generates 116 hp, the total useable power output comes to 245 hp. The peak torque sticks to 400 Nm which is 30 Nm more than the older model. 

0-100 kmph sprint can be achieved in 7.3 seconds and the top speed is limited to 225 kmph. The weight of the sedan has now gone up to 1,620 kg. The earlier version on sale measured 1,391 kg.
