Hey Guys, I own the second-generation 2018 Honda Amaze. I have with me the diesel engine with the CVT gearbox. I bought the car in October 2018 and I have the top-end V CVT model. Till now, I have driven the car around 16,800 kilometres. I chose the diesel as my running is high and I wanted the convenience of an automatic. At the time of purchase, the Amaze was the only car in this price which was offering an automatic with the diesel and that too a CVT. I like this car as it is spacious, offers comfortable ride, great mileage and the interior feels really good due to the beige treatment. In Cons, I will include that the diesel engine isn’t very powerful with CVT and also the CVT wasn’t offered in VX model, so I had to get the V model which lacks some features.
We bought the new Honda Amaze in April 2019. I bought the top-spec VX Petrol manual variant of the Amaze. I like in Varanasi, UP and I mostly drive it in the city. Sometimes, I also take it on long distance touring the highways whenever I go from Varanasi to Delhi. Till now, my experience is very good. I have driven this car around 9600 kilometres and it runs very smooth. The engine is refined and it delivers good mileage. I have some problems too. For example, the rear seat space isn’t very spacious in terms of head room and also it doesn’t get rear AC vents. Apart from these minor niggles, I love my Honda Amaze.
Hi, I have recently purchased the second base model of the new Amaze. I own the S variant of the Amaze with the diesel engine and the manual gearbox. I bought this car as I wanted a frugal car as I have high running and also I had low budget, so I got the S variant. The diesel engine of this car drives good and since I have manual transmission, it is very powerful and torque. The Amaze diesel returns around 17-18 kmpl in the city and around 22-23 kmpl on the highway if driven around 70-80 kmph on the highway. I don’t have any major problems with the car but since I have the S trim, it doesn’t get many features. Till now, I have driven it around 5000 kilometres in 7 months, I purchased it in January 2020. Once I cover 10,000 kilometres, I will share my long term review with everyone.
2016 Honda Amaze S CVT I am a owner of CVT amaze S variant and till now covered 24,000 km in this. Mostly it is the ideal city run from Delhi to Noida and back and mostly to Gurgaon. I have never driven this car on highways and for that we have another car. This is purely for city. The space at the back and fron tis adequate and I am sure for long journeys it will be comfortable. I like the dual tone beige and black theme which gives it a premium look. Now, what I don’t like is the lack of safety. I say it because whenever I close the door of the car, there is no thud sound but rather something unsettling. This upsets me about the build quality of the car. Another thing I am worried is the low fuel economy. Okay sometimes I don’t drive with a light foot but it is giving me 10-11 km/l only, no matter which condition I drive on. It is mostly with the AC on. Overall the car is nice and I am liking the experience. The maintenance is slightly on the higher side and I have opted for aftermarket touchscreen unit in this one.
Honda Amaze EX Petrol I am having the base version of the Amaze as I was running low on budget. This is my first car and I am liking it very much. I got this in 2016 and till now I have covered close to 40,000 km in this car. Being a petrol the average is not quite good but I am satisfied about the engine refinement and the smooth runs on city and highways. Being a first car I have not opted for any aftermarket accessory as I was scared if the warranty will get void. My daily run is not too much and it is also used for occasional highways runs. Honda’s sevice advisor is quite good whenever my car needs servicing and the maximum I have paid for till now is Rs 6,000 when the brake pads were to be replaced.
