Honda Amaze Gets New Black Colour- Total Now 8!

With the new Crystal Black Pearl paint job, the Honda Amaze colour palette now grows to eight, including existing favourites such as Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, and Obsidian Blue Pearl. Inside, the Amaze carries forward its dual-tone dashboard, an 8-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit, and a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch MID. Convenience is enhanced with features like wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, push-button start, wireless charging, auto climate control, and rear AC vents.

In terms of safety, the Amaze is packed with features such as six airbags, Hill Start Assist, traction control, ESC, and Honda SENSING ADAS, making it the most affordable car in India to offer advanced driver assistance systems. This is a nice addition, opposite to the new normal, where a black shade is handed out as a special, limited-run edition for a premium, where sometimes, you have to pay for things you otherwise do not require.

Engine Details
Under the hood, the Amaze continues with its proven 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, producing 90 bhp and 110 Nm. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic, with fuel efficiency figures of 18.65 kmpl and 19.46 kmpl, respectively. This powertrain has earned the Amaze a reputation for being both reliable and fuel-efficient, striking a fine balance between daily commutes and long drives.

Price & GST 2.0

Currently priced between Rs. 8.14 lakh and Rs. 11.24 lakh (ex-showroom), the Amaze is available in V, VX, and ZX trims, along with Elite Pack options. However, with GST 2.0 reforms on the horizon, the Amaze is expected to fall under a lower tax slab, which will further reduce prices and strengthen its value proposition.
Verdict
With the new Crystal Black Pearl shade, Honda has added a bold and stylish edge to the Amaze's already attractive package. Combined with its reliable powertrain, fuel efficiency, strong feature list, and advanced safety tech, the Amaze continues to appeal to young families, professionals, and first-time buyers alike. And with a GST-driven price cut expected soon, the Honda Amaze is only set to become an even more sensible choice for buyers. However, Honda needs to work better on their marketing where despite having better products in the segment, the sales number generally fall short of their deserved mark.
