Skoda Cars To Get Expensive From October 1

Skoda India has announced a price hike across its entire line-up. The price hike will be effective from 1 October. The hike goes up to 1.2 percent on ex-showroom prices depending on the model and variant. However, the hike is capped at a maximum price of Rs. 20,000. The reason behind these hikes is the rising input and operational costs.

Skoda has been fairly active this year with the launch of the new Kushaq, the new Slavia, and the updated Kodiaq and brought two RS products: Kodiaq RS and Octavia RS. Along with all this, Skoda introduced a new variant in their best-selling SUV, the Kylaq Sportline trim and the rollout of Classic+ and Prestige+ trims.

On the market performance front, Skoda has clocked 72,655 units. The brand has crossed the sales mark of 50,000 units by the month of August in 2026. This has been the strongest first half so far, with a growth of 8% year-on-year.  

Skoda Launches

Skoda is also all set to launch the facelift Slavia on 6 October, which was unveiled recently. The new facelifted Slavia has revised styling, a long feature list and a new 8-speed automatic transmission option for the 1.0-litre TSI engine replacing the older 6-speed automatic transmission. 

Skoda has also introduced a second batch of 50 units of the Octavia RS. The price of the second batch starts at Rs. 56.69 lakh, ex-showroom. It has gone up by Rs. 6.70 lakh, as the first batch was launched at Rs. 49.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
