Last Updated On 01st Sep'25: The Maruti Victoris is an upcoming compact SUV that will slot between the Brezza and the Grand Vitara. It will be sold through Maruti’s Arena dealerships and is expected to launch on September 3, 2025, with prices likely to start between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

Design: So far, the compact SUV rumored to be called the Maruti Victoris has been spotted testing multiple times, always under heavy camouflage. As a result, no concrete design details are visible, and most images circulating online are AI-generated renderings. However, we believe it will share Maruti’s Grand Vitara design language - though not entirely -featuring a boxy profile, muscular sides, and prominent wheel arches. Moreover, we can expect 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, all four disc brakes, connected LED lighting, and a projector headlamp setup.

Powertrain: This SUV will almost certainly share the same 1.5L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine found in the Brezza, Ertiga, Grand Vitara, and Jimny. It produces 103.6 PS and 139 Nm of torque and may also feature 12V smart hybrid technology. However, it is unlikely to receive the full hybrid system offered in the Grand Vitara, as that would push its price beyond Rs 18 lakh. Additionally, both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission are expected to be available.

Features: This SUV is expected to feature a 9-inch infotainment system with wireless connectivity, front ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, a head-up display, and ambient lighting. In terms of safety, it will likely come equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, three-point seatbelts, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and traction control.

Price: The Maruti Suzuki Victoris will be sold through Arena showrooms, and since it slots between the Grand Vitara and the Brezza, it’s reasonable to assume that prices will start around Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom). For reference, the Grand Vitara starts at Rs 11.42 lakh, while the Brezza is priced from Rs 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, it will go till Rs 16 to 17 lakh for the top variant.

The price of Escudo should be exact fit between Breeza and Grand Vitara to sell highest as compared to Creta and Seltos. Also length, boot space and ground clearance of Escudo should be same as Creta/Seltos. I am excited to see the price and feature of Escudo.
