ADAS Availability

Maruti's new compact SUV, Victoris, introduces the ADAS suite to the brand's lineup for the first time. However, not every buyer will have access to this feature. ADAS is limited to only a 1.5-litre Smart hybrid powertrain, which is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. CNG version and manual transmission variants don't gets this feature. Suprisingly, the strong hybrid powertrain will also be exempted from the ADAS suite. This looks like move to keep pricing at par with the rivals. Notably, the strong hybrid tech is costlier and adding ADAS will further add to the cost. By this, we can easily make out that only that ZXi+ and ZXi+ (O) variants are the only trims, which will be equipped.

The all-new Maruti Victoris offers level 2 ADAS suite which includes features like Auto emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assit, blind spot monitering, lane change alert, and adaptive cruise control. Notably, this SUV has scored 5star in both GNCAP and Euro NCAP crash test. While, the safety package includes 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, traction control system, hill hold, hill descent control, electronic parking brake, 360-degree camera and much more.
Pricing
The pricing for Maruti Victoris starts at Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom) lower than its rivals like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Meanwhile, the most affordable ADAS variant is the ZXi+, which is priced at Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Followed by the ZXi+(O) at Rs 17.77 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the 4WD variant also comes with ADAS at Rs 19.22 lakh (ex-showroom).

Verdict
The Maruti Victoris finally brings ADAS to the brand's lineup, but its availability is limited to top-spec petrol-automatic trims. While this helps keep costs in check, buyers of hybrid, CNG, and manual variants may feel left out. Still, with strong safety credentials and competitive pricing, the Victoris makes a solid case in its segment.
