Skoda Auto India has reintroduced the much-anticipated Octavia RS, a performance version of the popular Octavia, in the Indian market. The new Skoda Octavia RS is priced at Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Limited to just 100 units, this eagerly awaited model sold out within 20 minutes during the pre-booking window. Skoda Octavia RS - Exterior & Interior
The new Octavia RS features a striking design with full LED Matrix headlights, LED tail lamps with dynamic indicators, and glossy black accents. It rides on 19-inch Elias anthracite alloy wheels with low-profile 225/40 R19 sports tires. Measuring 4,709 mm in length, 1,829 mm in width, and 1,457 mm in height, it has a wheelbase of 2,677 mm and a boot capacity of 600 liters, expandable to 1,555 liters with the rear seats folded. The RS is offered in five vibrant colors: Mamba Green, Candy White, Race Blue, Magic Black, and Velvet Red.
Inside, the vehicle provides a premium cabin experience featuring Suedia and leather upholstery with red stitching. It includes sports front seats that offer electric adjustments, a memory function, as well as heating and massage features. A 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system is centrally located on the dashboard and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with three-zone climate control, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, and an 11-speaker audio system.
The safety features include Skoda's latest ADAS suite, which comprises Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Assist, and Intelligent Park Assist, as well as 10 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a Head-Up Display, and various driving stability systems.

Skoda Octavia RS - Engine
The Octavia RS is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 265 PS of power and 370 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds.
Verdict
With the launch of the Skoda Octavia RS, the brand has revived a much-awaited name in the Indian market. The vehicle sold out just a few minutes after pre-bookings opened, highlighting the love enthusiasts have for the Octavia. However, the price does seem a bit on the higher side.
