Toyota India has launched the first ever facelift of Glanza today at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and the biggest change it incurs is a new 1.2L Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine that replaces the 1.2L 4-cylinder petrol engine. Also, with CNG powertrain, AMT is available now, which enhances the driving experience of CNG variants. Other new additions are a new front fascia with a massive grille with satin trims that also houses radar for the ADAS module. 2026 Toyota Glanza Facelift
Exterior
Let’s begin with how it looks now. Compared to the outgoing model, the front fascia has changed drastically, with a massive grille that appears busy as it features too many design elements. The LED headlights with projector headlamps are of the same shape, but everything in the center is brand new. It houses chrome strips on top and two horizontal straps in the middle, with a radar in the center taking the position of the Toyota logo, which is now placed on top. Then we have a honeycomb grille with satin finish trims on its edges, and piano black elements that make space for the LED fog lamps, which are also of a new shape.
Overall, the front appears radically different and is designed to stand out with several glossy elements, but the overall silhouette remains the same as the outgoing model. The side profile is the same, with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. There are no changes to the rear profile.
Talking about the colour options, it is available in a total of seven colours, which include two new introductions: Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black.

Interior
The Toyota Glanza facelift continues with the same interior design, offering a dual-tone dashboard in black and beige, and the seats feature this treatment as well. The size of the touchscreen infotainment system is also the same at 9 inches, along with physical buttons for the automatic climate control and a three-spoke steering wheel with switches for ADAS, cruise control, and music connectivity.
Talking about the new changes inside, Toyota has added a ventilation function for the front seats, TPMS on the infotainment screen, a cooled wireless charging pad, and a 6-speaker Clarion sound system. The rest carries over, including a semi-digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, Type-C ports, rear AC vents, and power windows on all four doors.
Engine
Out goes the 1.2L K-Series engine, and in comes the 1.2L Z-Series engine, which makes 81.58 PS and 111.7 Nm of torque, while the CNG variant offers a slightly lower output of 69.7 PS and 101.8 Nm. However, the fuel-efficiency numbers of the Toyota Glanza make up for the lower power on offer, as it touches almost 35 km/kg, which makes it one of the top choices for Indian customers. As of now, Toyota has revealed the starting prices of all variants and has introduced a new top-spec V (O) variant, which costs Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Safety
With the facelift, Toyota has introduced Level-2 ADAS in the Glanza with a four-feature set, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and High Beam Assist. After the Maruti Baleno, this is the second car in the segment to offer Level-2 ADAS. Other safety features include a 360-degree parking camera along with rear parking sensors.
End Note
With the facelift, Toyota is targeting Gen-Z with its new striking front fascia, as it will definitely grab a lot of eyeballs. Also, Toyota has added a more fuel-efficient engine that is known for its great low-end torque as well as refinement, so overall this is a great package. However, it will be interesting to see how many Glanzas sell with the new design and whether young buyers like it or loathe it. That said, it continues to go head-to-head with the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Tata Altroz.
