MG Overview

MG Motor India established its first manufacturing plant in Sept 2017 in Halol, Gujarat which was previously owned and used by General Motors India. They brought in their first product, Hector in 2019 and this British company is owned by SAIC Motor which also sells rebadged cars in other countries. With the Hector, the carmaker quickly grasped loads of sales because of its value for money quotient. Currently, MG Motor India has Astor, Hector Plus, ZS EV and Gloster in their portfolio other than Hector. The carmaker is focused on SUVs as this segment is quite popular in India and they have catered their SUVs to buyers of the different segments.

MG is known for providing modern tech and features and that too in a budget. Features like a large touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, and Advanced driver assistance system are to name a few.

A compact SUV that rivals popular models like Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Hyundai Venue to name a few.

An upcoming MPV that will target the buyers of Kia Carnival and Toyota Innova Crysta.
