MG Majestor Latest Update
Last Updated on 12th Feb'26: The MG Majestor has finally been unveiled, with pre-bookings now open at Rs 41,000. This body-on-frame SUV is essentially a more premium iteration of the MG Gloster, featuring several technology updates and segment-first features that aim to refresh the brand’s flagship offering. The price announcement is scheduled for April 2026.
Design: The SUV adopts a bold, upright stance with strong visual cues derived from its global counterpart, the Maxus D90. Up front, the large ‘Mosaic Matrix’ grille is complemented by vertically stacked LED daytime running lights, while the headlamps are integrated neatly into the bumper. The muscular side profile is highlighted by flared wheel arches, 19-inch alloy wheels in higher variants and fixed side steps for easier ingress and egress. At the rear, full-width LED tail lamps and a heavily cladded bumper with faux exhaust elements enhance its rugged and premium appeal.
Powertrain: Under the hood sits a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine producing 215hp and 478Nm of torque. The motor is paired with an 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission sourced from ZF. Buyers can choose between rear-wheel-drive and an on-demand four-wheel-drive system. Off-road capability is strengthened by terrain management software offering multiple drive modes, along with crawl control, a low-speed transfer case and triple differential locks. MG claims a water-wading capacity of up to 810mm.
Features: Inside, the SUV focuses heavily on comfort and technology. The cabin features a redesigned dashboard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an equally large digital instrument cluster. Comfort equipment includes heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, tri-zone climate control and dual wireless charging pads. It also offers a 12-speaker JBL sound system, panoramic sunroof and 64-colour ambient lighting. Safety is handled by Level 2 ADAS functions, along with six airbags, electronic stability control, surround-view cameras and multiple driver assistance features.
Expected Price: The SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 42 lakh, going up to around Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom) for the variant equipped with a triple differential lock. The official price announcement is scheduled for April, with deliveries set to begin in May.
