Land Rover has announced significant price cuts for the Defender in India following revised GST rates, making the SUV more accessible to buyers. Depending on the variant, the Defender now sees reductions ranging from Rs 7 lakh up to Rs 18.6 lakh.
This move is part of a broader price revision across the JLR lineup, aimed at improving competitiveness in the luxury SUV space.
The Defender is available in multiple variants and with several powertrain options, including the three-door 90, the five-door 110, the long-wheelbase 130, and the hardcore Octa. Depending on the variant you choose, the Defender now sees price reductions of up to Rs 7 lakh, with the maximum cut going up to Rs 18.6 lakh.
Land Rover has unveiled the Defender OCTA Black Edition, bringing a fully blacked-out, more aggressive look to its flagship off-roader. The SUV features over 30 exterior elements finished in gloss and satin black, along with a Narvik Black paint scheme and darkened badging for a stealthy appearance.
Land Rover has updated the Defender for 2025 with a major tech upgrade, headlined by a larger 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the older 11.4-inch unit. The update also brings a driver attention monitoring system using an infrared camera, enhancing safety and driver awareness, and more.
Land Rover has launched the Defender OCTA in India with prices starting at Rs 2.59 crore (ex-showroom), making it the most powerful and extreme version of the SUV yet. It is offered in two variants, standard OCTA and OCTA Edition One (Rs 2.79 crore), with the latter available in limited numbers.
Land Rover has launched the 2025 Defender in India with the return of a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, expanding its performance lineup. The V8 produces around 425 PS and is now available across all body styles of 90, 110, and 130. Prices for the V8-powered Defender start at Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom), making it a more powerful option in the range.
