Land Rover Defender Octa Black Details

The Defender Octa Black Edition is already 28mm taller and 68mm wider than the regular Octa, and the flared wheel arches, larger grille, redesigned bumpers at both ends further lend it a beefier, more purposeful appearance. However, it gets a core Narvik Black paint scheme, while certain elements such as the front and rear scuff plates are finished in Satin Black Powder Coat. The tow eye cover, quad-exhaust tips, and alloy rims in a size of either 20-inches or 22-inches are finished in Gloss Black, while the Land Rover oval badging also gets black treatment with a dark silver finish.

Just like on the outside, the interiors of the Defender Octa Black Edition also comes with a fully dark theme. The interiors are swathed in Ebony Semi-Aniline Leather, and certain elements also receive Carpathian Grey finish. Additionally, it also comes with a Satin Black Powder Coat contrast element, and customers can also opt for a Chopped Carbon Fibre treatment as well.
In terms of features, it continues with a 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touch screen infotainment system a 700W 15-speaker Meridian sound system, the Body and Soul seat technology on the front seats, which cause vibrations in sync with the music being played in the car.

The rest of the Defender Octa Black Edition remains identical. It continues to bring over the 6D Dynamics suspension, which helps in maximum wheel articulation and reduced body roll on-road. Some other revised suspension components include active dampers and tougher wishbones. There is also a bespoke off-road setting called Octa mode, which enhances traction, braking and acceleration on loose surfaces, while also altering the interior lighting, exhaust sound and gearshifts. The off-road launch mode also optimises acceleration and the off-road ABS calibration improves braking on loose surfaces.

Under the hood, the Defender Octa Black Edition packs a 4.4-litre mild-hybrid V8 powertrain, producing 626bhp and 750Nm of torque, paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. A 0-100kmph run gets done in 4 seconds. Land Rover has not specified on a timeline, but we can expect something from the car maker soon.
