MG Majestor Launch Timeline and Positioning

The MG Majestor has already been showcased ahead of its official debut, and bookings are currently underway. Following its price announcement on April 20, customer deliveries are expected to begin in May 2026. This SUV will effectively replace the Gloster in MG's portfolio and step in as the brand's flagship offering. It will compete directly with models like the Toyota Fortuner, targeting buyers looking for a premium three-row diesel SUV with a strong road presence.

One of the standout aspects of the Majestor is its size. Measuring over five metres in length, it positions itself among the largest SUVs in its segment. Compared to its predecessor, it offers a more imposing stance with a longer wheelbase and wider body. The SUV is expected to be offered in both six-seat and seven-seat layouts, for different buyer preferences. Practicality also remains a key focus, with a usable boot space even when all rows are occupied.
Inside the cabin, the Majestor focuses on comfort and technology. It is expected to come equipped with features such as ventilated and massaging seats, a premium audio system, and a redesigned dashboard layout. Other highlights include a large infotainment display, a digital instrument cluster, and a range of connected features. Safety is also a key area, with Level 2 ADAS expected to be part of the package, along with multiple airbags and advanced driver assistance systems.

Engine & Off-Road Capability
The Majestor will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine producing 215 PS and 478 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This setup is expected to deliver strong performance for both city and highway driving. Where it stands out is in off-road capability. The SUV offers multiple terrain modes and three locking differentials, giving it an edge over many competitors in challenging conditions. With high ground clearance and strong water-wading ability, it is built to handle a variety of terrains.
