MG Majestor

MG Motor India has unveiled its latest full-size three-row SUV, expanding its premium ladder-frame portfolio. While pricing is yet to be announced, the company has confirmed variant details, powertrain specifications and several segment-focused features. Bookings are open, with deliveries expected to begin in the coming months.
The SUV will be offered in three trims - Sharp 4x2, Savvy 4x2 and Savvy 4x4 - with both six- and seven-seat configurations available. MG has also announced early ownership perks for the first 3,000 customers, including a five-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, five years of roadside assistance and a five-year labour-free service package.

Powering the SUV is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215hp and 478Nm, paired with an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. Select variants receive an on-demand four-wheel-drive system supported by terrain management software offering 10 drive modes.
Off-road capabilities are further enhanced by crawl control, a low-speed transfer case and three differential locks. MG claims a water-wading capacity of up to 810mm. The SUV's styling shares strong visual similarities with the Maxus D90, featuring an upright stance, large grille, LED daytime running lights and pronounced body cladding. Higher variants receive 19-inch alloy wheels, fixed side steps and full-width LED tail lamps, reinforcing its rugged and premium positioning.
Spacious Cabin With Flexible Seating
Built on a 2,950mm wheelbase, the interior prioritises space and practicality. Buyers can choose between captain seats in the six-seater layout or a bench seat in the seven-seater configuration. Boot capacity stands at 343 litres with all seats up, expandable to 1,350 litres with the third row folded.
The cabin uses soft-touch materials and introduces a redesigned dashboard featuring a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital driver display.
Comfort, Technology And Safety
The feature list includes ventilated, heated and massaging front seats, tri-zone climate control, dual wireless charging pads, a 12-speaker JBL audio system and a panoramic sunroof. MG's connected car technology is also included.
Safety is handled by Level 2 ADAS functions such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure prevention and blind-spot monitoring, along with six airbags, electronic stability control and surround-view cameras.
Colours And Market Outlook
The SUV will be available in four monotone shades - Metal Black, Pearl White, Concrete Grey and Metal Ash. With a strong focus on diesel performance, off-road ability and in-cabin luxury, MG appears to be targeting buyers looking for a rugged yet family-oriented full-size SUV.
Verdict
MG's new flagship SUV combines strong diesel performance, serious off-road capability and a feature-rich cabin, making it a compelling three-row offering. Its success, however, will ultimately depend on how competitively it is priced.
