KIA EV9 Detailed Review
-
The EV9 follows Kia’s new ‘Opposites United’ design language. While its body shape is typically SUV-like, the overall design is smooth and clean. It gets a modern rendition of the Tiger Nose grille with digital pattern lighting up front.
- The 20-inch crystal-cut alloy rims and flush-fitting door handles add some futuristic appeal to its profile. It also gets a 3100mm wheelbase, which is only 110mm shorter than the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV.
- At the rear, it gets Y-shaped tail lights which look sleek, and the smooth design of the tailgate further adds to the futuristic appearance of the car. The lower half of the rear bumper also gets a combination of gloss black treatment, along with a skid plate.
-
You get five different paint schemes to choose from. These include Pebble Grey, Panthera Metal, Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Ocean Blue Pearl.

- The split panoramic roof treatment makes the cabin feel more airy, thus enhancing the overall comfort factor for all three rows of passengers.
- In terms of features, Kia has made sure that the EV9 comes heavily packed. There is a 12.3-inch blended screen setup for the HD instrument cluster and the HD infotainment touchscreen, and there is also a 5-inch HVAC setting display. All of these look and feel very premium.
- The driver gets an 18-step power-adjustable seat with a memory function, while the front passenger receives a 12-step power-adjustable front passenger seat. These seats come with both heating and cooling functions as standard.
- The second row comes with captain chairs that get 8-step power adjustment, massage function, leg support, and winged headrest. These seats also receive a one-touch folding function. Second-row passengers can also control the front passenger seat with buttons placed on them.
- Some more features include a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, powered tailgate, vehicle-to-load, shift-by-wire selector, drive modes and terrain modes, digital IRVM, a 52-litre frunk, and 64-color ambient lighting.

Last Updated On 3rd Oct'24: The EV9 marks Kia’s entry into the super luxury segment. This 3-row Electric SUV has won several awards globally and is positioned against the BMW iX and the Mercedes-Benz EQS, offering more space, possibly a longer list of features and better comfort. The EV9 is imported into India as a CBU (completely built unit) and that is the reason for its relatively higher sticker price.
