KIA Carens Clavis

Kia has introduced a new HTE (EX) variant for the Carens Clavis, adding more features to the lower end of the lineup. Positioned above the HTE(O) trim, it brings automatic climate control, LED DRLs, LED cabin lighting and a single-pane electric sunroof, enhancing comfort and convenience. The update aims to offer better value with a richer feature set while retaining the same engine and mechanical setup.

Kia expands the Carens Clavis lineup with a new HTX(O) trim and adds six-seater options across multiple variants, offering buyers more flexibility. The new trim is positioned between the HTX and HTX+ variants, while the 6-seater layout, earlier limited to top trims, is now available in mid-spec versions as well.

Kia has launched the Carens Clavis in India at a starting price of Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it as a more premium alternative to the standard Carens. The MPV gets updated styling with all-LED lighting, a refreshed interior and a wider feature list, along with multiple engine and transmission options. It is offered in seven variants with both 6- and 7-seater configurations, directed towards a wide range of family buyers.

Kia just revealed the ARAI-certified mileage figures for the Carens Clavis, with the diesel manual variant delivering a peak efficiency of 19.54 kmpl. Petrol versions return between 15.34 kmpl and 16.66 kmpl, while the diesel automatic offers around 17.5 kmpl, depending on the variant and transmission. These figures position the Carens Clavis as a relatively efficient option in the three-row MPV segment.

Kia confirms that the Carens Clavis will launch in India on May 23, with bookings already underway for a token amount of Rs 25,000. The MPV is positioned as a more premium alternative to the standard Carens, featuring updated styling, a refreshed interior and additional features. It will be available in multiple variants with both 6- and 7-seater configurations and petrol and diesel engine options.
