The newly launched HTE (EX) variant enhances the internal combustion (ICE) version of the Carens Clavis, offering a more comprehensive feature set while maintaining accessible pricing. Kia has made the new trim available across all traditional engine options, including petrol, turbo-petrol, and diesel, and its offered exclusively as a 7-seater MPV.
Pricing for the new HTE (EX) trim starts from approximately Rs 12.55 lakh (ex-showroom) for the regular petrol model. The turbo-petrol version carries an ex-showroom tag of about Rs 13.42 lakh (ex-showroom), while the diesel variant sits near Rs 14.52 lakh (ex-showroom).
What's On Offer?
This variant bridges the gap between the lower HTE trims and mid-range options like HTK by adding comfort and convenience upgrades that werent standard before. One notable addition is the sunroof, along with features such as automatic climate control, enhancements that were previously limited to pricier trims in the Clavis range.
On the mechanical front, the HTE (EX) retains the Carens Claviss familiar set of engines and transmission choices. These include a 1.5-litre NA petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel unit.
