  • Underseat storage of 24.6L
  • Mechanically, it remains the same; it's just that it now looks more premium

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the updated Burgman Street today at Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom), available in three variants. The most prominent update is the new maxi-scooter styling, highlighted by a dual-pod LED headlamp setup inspired by larger global Burgman models, along with fresh colour options including a premium dual-tone copper finish on higher variants. Moreover, the Burgman Street now features a more curvaceous and flowing design, giving it a stronger maxi-scooter presence than before.

At the rear, it gets a redesigned tail-light with a distinctive inverted V-shaped signature, along with neatly integrated indicators, which further enhance its premium appeal. Inside, the scooter gets a significant tech boost with a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster that now supports navigation, replacing the older LCD unit.

It also introduces modern conveniences like a keyless ignition system with a remote FOB, Suzuki Easy Start, silent start, and full LED lighting, making it feel more upmarket. Practicality remains strong with 24.6 liters of underseat storage and dual front compartments. However, under the bodywork, it continues with the same 124cc SEP engine producing 8.4 Ps and 10.2 Nm, along with unchanged suspension, brakes, and overall hardware. In essence, this update focuses on enhancing the premium appeal and feature list rather than improving performance.

The updated Burgman Street is now offered in three variants, with the addition of a new top-spec trim that brings a TFT display and keyless technology. This expands the lineup and gives buyers more choice, especially for those looking for a more premium, feature-loaded scooter.

  • Ride Connect Edition - Rs 1,01,944
  • Burgman Street EX - Rs 1,07,902
  • New Burgman TFT / Keyless Variant - Rs 1,13,220

Verdict

Overall, the 2026 Burgman Street feels like a well-rounded update that focuses on what buyers actually value in this segment - premium design and modern features. While the addition of a TFT display, keyless tech, and a more refined, curvaceous design does elevate its appeal, the update feels a bit underwhelming considering this is the first major revision in eight years.

The mechanicals remain unchanged, and there's nothing substantially new in terms of performance or hardware, which many buyers were expecting. With three variants now on offer, it does cater to a wider audience, but the lack of deeper upgrades holds it back from being a truly significant step forward in the 125cc scooter space.
