Maruti Suzuki surprised budget car buyers with a Rs. 5,000 price cut on both VXi AGS and VXi+ AGS variants of the Alto K10, making them even more attractive options. These automatic transmission models now start at Rs. 5.56 lakh and Rs. 5.85 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively, potentially amplifying the already popular Alto K10's appeal with its focus on affordability and fuel efficiency.

Powertrain
The Maruti Alto K10 is equipped with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, coupled with a five-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. This engine is tuned to generate 66bhp and 89Nm of torque. Additionally, the VXi variant offers the flexibility of opting for a company-fitted CNG kit, providing customers with a fuel-efficient alternative.
Maruti Alto K10: Price And Rivals
The ex-showroom price of the Alto starts at Rs. 3.99 lakhs for the STD variant and goes all the way up to Rs. 5.96 lakhs ex-showroom for the VXI CNG model. It directly competes with the likes of Renault Kwid, Maruti Wagnor, Tata Tiago, and more.
Verdict
While the industry is embracing an upward price revision, this comes as a slight relief to the prsopective buyers. Although the quantum is not very significant, but in a price sensistive buyer segment, it sure adds some breathing room.
