Tata Altroz EV: What Will It Look like?
The upcoming Altroz EV has been confirmed for its Indian launch by next year, as per an online report (source). The new Altroz EV will be based on the Acti.EV platform. This new platform recently debuted with the launch of the Punch EV.
The front design of the car will follow the latest EV design, like the other electric models, including the Nexon EV. Other confirmed EV models by Tata for 2024 include the Curvv EV & the Harrier EV. In 2025, Tata plans to introduce the Altroz EV & Sierra EV.
Tata Altroz Electric: Range, Performance, & Expected Price
The Altroz EV will use the same battery as the Punch EV. The short-range version can get a 25kWh battery pack, while the long-range version can get up to 35kWh. These battery options churn out an ARAI-claimed 315 km and 421 km range on a full charge.
The peak power figures will also be similar to those of Punch EV, i.e. between 82 and 122 bhp. However, performance will differ due to the electric Punch's low centre of gravity and better aerodynamics.
The prices of Altroz EV are likely to remain somewhere between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh.
