The Grand Vitara is reasonably well equipped on paper, but I could not verify an official Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP crash-test rating for it, so I would not call it "safe" only on assumption. Maruti Suzuki says the Grand Vitara gets 6 airbags, ESP with Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, all-wheel disc brakes and ISOFIX mounts, which is a strong feature list. If safety is your top priority, check whether the exact variant you want matches those features and prefer a model with a published crash-test result if you want stronger proof than the spec sheet.
