What's New?
The 2020 X4, which is in its second-generation, is underpinned by the same platform which is used in the X3. With this being said, the 2020 X4 gets a coupe-like bodyline and a bold front fascia. The car now also gets BS6 compliant engines and updated feature list.

Exterior Looks and Design
The overall design of the car looks nice and impressive. The overall body line of the BMW X4 looks distinct while the front fascia grabs a lot of attention. The large grille and the sharper-looking headlamps complement the overall design. The rear, however, looks polarising and a little too ungainly. In all, the 2020 BMW X4 BS6 may not impress everyone but surely has exclusivity in terms of the overall design.
Engine, Gearbox, and Performance
Three engine options are on offer with the X4. The first engine is the 2.0-L diesel engine that churns out 190 hp and 400 Nm of peak torque output. This engine comes mated to an 8-Speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The second engine on offer is the 3.0-L, six-cylinder diesel engine that delivers a maximum power output of 265 hp. The peak torque output from this engine stands at 620 Nm and comes mated to a 8-Speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. The last petrol engine on offer is the 2.0-L turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 252 hp and 350 Nm of peak torque output.

Interiors and Features
The cabin of the X4 feels premium and luxurious. The dual-tone colour scheme looks nice and the dashboard looks modern and sophisticated. The overall layout of the dashboard is practical and the controls are well within the reach of the driver. The seats are comfortable and can be electrically adjusted. The rear seat space, however, is not the best in the segment but is more than enough.
Price and Rivals
The BMW X4 competes against the rivals such as the Mercedes GLC Coupe, Volvo XC60, and the Jaguar F-Pace. With this being said, the comparison of the prices of the cars is given below in the table.
