Five Things We Like About The 2020 BS6 Maruti S-Cross
New 1.5L Petrol Engine

The S-Cross has been in the market with diesel engine only and it really affected the petrol lovers. This engine is shared with Maruti XL6, Ertiga, XL6 and the popular SUV, Vitara Brezza. This petrol engine helps the people who have a total driving limit of let's say 20 km to 50 km on a daily basis. This turns out the best engine with enough power and good mileage.
More Space

The price of new S-Cross falls with the compact SUVs and in that price range where the compact SUVs are restricted to sub-4-metre length, the S-Cross stands at 4,300 mm longer. So that accounts for a roomier cabin and better wheelbase than others. So if you are someone looking for a good space and a reliable petrol engine and that too under Rs 10 lakh then S-Cross is one option you should really check.

All-black Interiors

Lately, with the dual-tone black and beige colour scheme, the cars feel old and a few years down the line the interiors get dirty. Prices
The base version of the S-Cross now starts from Rs 8.40 lakh and go up till Rs 12.39 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The crossover gets better-looking design, more space and good quality cabin on the side when compared with the compact SUVs of its size.
Two Things That We Don't Like About The 2020 BS6 Maruti S-Cross
Lack of features

Well, if you compare the sedans, compact SUVs or even premium hatchbacks in this segment, they all come with a good amount of features. Like an electric sunroof, wireless charging, rear AC vents, rear 12V charging socket, multiple airbags and among others. So yes, if you are paying close to Rs 13 - 14 lakh on-road, Delhi then you expect top of the line features which are missing on the S-Cross.
No Diesel Engine
Unline other carmakers that are offering both petrol and diesel engine and some even an electric option, Maruti is offering the S-Cross with a petrol engine only. No doubt, the 1.5L petrol is smooth, gets low NVH levels but the grunt of the discontinued diesel motor will still be missed. Also, the diesel was higher on the economy.
