2024 Jeep Meridian Facelift: New Features, Cosmetic Tweaks, More
The updated 2024 Jeep Meridian 2.0 has been teased for the first time alongside the Wrangler facelift. We have in the past spotted the test mule doing rounds that gave away a few hints on what to expect. One of the major upgrades will be the ADAS module on the front grille, as seen in a previous spy shot. On top of this, you will be getting a tweaked headlamp unit along with restyled front and rear bumpers and probably new geometrical cuts on the grille.
The Jeep Meridian facelift is set to gain some tech upgrades from the Compass Night Eagle, including a front and rear dashcam and an air purifier. Existing features like the panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, a wireless charger, and ambient lighting will still be offered. Meanwhile, expect a bigger-sized infotainment screen with this new update.
Powertrain: Carried Over
The Meridian facelift is expected to stick with its proven powertrain. You get the familiar 2.0-liter diesel engine churning out 170PS power with a peak torque of 350 Nm paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. Jeep Meridian will also retain the 4WD option available on select automatic variants.
Expected Price And Rivals
The current model pricing ranges from Rs.33.60 lakhs to 39.66 lakhs ex-showroom. With the new feature add-ons, refreshed colour options, and visual updates, it will command a slight premium than these figures. It will continue to rival other big SUVs like Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, and others.
Verdict
The Jeep Meridian, a very efficient SUV, has remained somewhat in the shadows with no serious threat to the Fortuner. With the latest update, it will aim to put itself back on the map of big SUVs as something that will command attention.
