- Few Honda dealerships are now accepting the bookings of the new midsize SUV
- It will rival Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, etc
- It is expected to be launched by mid-2023
As the launch of the new midsize Honda SUV nears, a few of the Honda dealerships have unofficially started accepting bookings for it. Set to rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, etc, this new midsize SUV from Honda is set to enter an already crowded & competitive segment. Thus, Honda will need to offer something unique with this new SUV to differentiate it from the competition and ensure its success as a product. We too expect some unique offerings in this upcoming Honda SUV. Hence, here's a list of 3 features this new midsize Honda SUV is expected to offer.
Honda's New Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara Rival To Offer ADAS
Honda first introduced its Honda Sensing ADAS tech in the City eHEV strong hybrid sedan. Also, the brand recently launched the 2023 Honda City facelift with the same Honda Sensing ADAS. However, the ADAS tech offered in both these sedans is just camera-based. We now expect Honda to bring in its camera + radar-based latest generation Honda Sensing tech in this upcoming midsize SUV. This also seems possible because in some spy images of the camouflaged testing vehicle of the Honda SUV, a front-mounted radar is visible. This will help the new Honda SUV to give tough competition to the already on-sale MG Astor and the upcoming 2023 Kia Seltos & 2023 Hyundai Creta.
Honda's New Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara Rival To Offer Strong Hybrid Tech
Honda is one of the pioneers when it comes to strong hybrid technology. The already-on-sale Honda City eHEV hybrid is one of the most fuel-efficient sedans in the country. The new Honda SUV is also expected to come with Honda's strong hybrid powertrain. This will help it to give tough competition to its rivals like Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder which also offer a strong hybrid powertrain. Moreover, we also expect Honda to equip the hybrid variants of this new midsize SUV with a slightly larger battery than what it offers in the Honda City eHEV.
Honda's New Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara Rival To Offer Driver Convenience Features
Honda's new midsize SUV will be competing in a segment where all its rivals offer some or the other advanced features. Thus to differentiate its offering, Honda will most probably equip this new SUV with several driver convenience features like a multiangle 360-degree surround view camera, a lane-watch camera, front parking sensors, electric parking brake with auto hold, etc. Also, we expect Honda to offer its latest gen advanced connected car tech with features like smartwatch integration, wireless android auto & apple carplay, and H2C (Home to Car) with Alexa and Google Assistant integration.

Verdict: If the rumors are to be believed, this new midsize Honda SUV will be a game changer for Honda Cars India. It will be the only offering in the midsize SUV segment that will come with both advanced technologies, a strong hybrid powertrain, and the level-2 ADAS. Currently, no SUV in the segment offers both of these technologies together.
