Variant Recommendation
TVS offers the iQube in three versions - Standard, S, and ST. We recommend buying ST due to its long range of 145 km (claimed). Also, the ST is feature-loaded and looks modern. However, TVS if you don't want to spend a premium price, the S version is also decently loaded.
Why Electric Scooter ?
Pros & Cons of TVS iQube Electric
Should I buy the iQube Electric?
The TVS iQube electric scooter is a complete family scooter. The design of it resembles that of the regular petrol scooters. It has a good road presence, it looks beautiful and proportionate from every angle. Additionally, TVS has equipped it with a very comfortable suspension that offers very good ride quality on bad roads. Mixed with a decent-performance electric battery and good brakes, we recommend the iQube for family buyers who want a scooter for their everyday family commute needs. However, its slow charging time is not supportive in emergency conditions.
- The design of iQube is very simple and elegant. It looks like a proper petrol scooter from every angle. Also, the bigger dimensions of it make it look proportionate as well. It has a good road presence due to its design. Not to mention the use of bright LED lights, the iQube gives the feel of a premium scooter in the true sense.
- TVS is known for strong build quality on all of its products. The iQube is no different case either. The overall quality is the best in its segment. The plastic used is of rich texture while there are no panel gaps. The fit and finish quality is also one of the best among its rivals.
- Another strong point of iQube is its very comfortable riding position. The handlebar is positioned towards the rider while the big seat helps in achieving a high-set riding position. Also, the footboard area is enough to easily move legs on the go.
- The single seat of iQube is the best in its segment. The amount of cushioning it offers is more than ample. Even with a pillion, the seat remains wide and comfortable enough to ride. One can ride the iQube easily for a long duration inside the city due to the comfortable set up of seats and riding posture.
- The suspension set-up of iQube is simply the best in its segment. The comfy ride quality is instantly felt on it. The iQube simply absorbs the bad roads, cracks on the road, and undulations. Additionally, due to the plaint ride it remains confident on high speeds of above 60 kmph.
- The iQube is a heavy scooter in its category due to the use of metal body parts. Hence, handling of it is not as sharp as the Ather but it does manage well inside the city. It is only when you ride with a pillion that you’ll tip-toe to balance it in city traffic. Otherwise, the handling is very neutral.
- Braking is another strong area of iQube. The initial bite from the brakes is very sharp and confidence-inspiring. Even after long use on ghat roads downhill, the brakes don’t lose their bite. Due to the strong braking of iQube, the rider remains confident riding it
- TVS has loaded the iQube with loads of features. It gets LED lights, a 7-inch touch instrument console, and 35 plus connected features like geofencing, anti-theft, parking locator, etc. In addition to these, it gets different riding modes that offer variable performance as per the requirement of the rider. Overall, it is a feature-loaded electric scooter.
- TVS provides a standard 650-watt three-pin-point wall-mounted charger with the iQube. This charger can charge the iQube from 0-80 percent in 4h and 30m. However, if you want to get a fast charger, it comes at an additional cost as it is offered as extra. By paying extra, you can buy a 950-watt charger that can charge it in 2h and 50m.
- The iQube comes equipped with a 4.4kW electric motor that offers decent performance. It can do 0-40 kmph in 4.2 seconds while the top speed is limited to 82 kmph (ST version). Additionally, the tuning of power helps in good acceleration in city traffic. One need not plan overtakes within the city. The pace build of iQube is very linear unlike rivals like Ola that explode suddenly with open throttle. Hence, it is a perfect family-riding scooter.
- The real-world claimed range of the standard and S variants is 100 km per charge while the ST can do up to 145 km. The iQube is true to its range and the range anxiety is not a thing to worry about if you’re riding only inside the city. However, we wish it had more range to offer.
