Is the steering light enough for quick gaps and last?second turns inside the city?

Once you are moving, the bike feels easy to turn and holds its line nicely. At very low speeds it may feel slightly heavier than a simple commuter, but that feeling goes away quickly after about 15 to 20 km per hour. The frame and suspension give good feedback, so you can place the bike accurately.
