The Renault Triber is one of the most affordable MPVs in India, priced at Rs 5.76 lakh (ex-showroom). Recently, the Triber got its 2025 facelift with subtle cosmetic and feature upgrades. However, this MPV only gets a 1.0-litre NA petrol engine that belts out 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque. It comes paired either with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. Meanwhile, some of the notable features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, push button start/stop, 7-inch semi-digital cluster, wireless charger, rear AC vents and much more. Meanwhile, the safety package includes six airbags as standard, rain-sensing wipers, front parking sensors, ABS with EBD, and traction control.

2.Maruti Ertiga/ Toyota Rumion

Maruti Ertiga and its Sibling Toyota Rumion are strong contenders in the MPV segment. Both cars are the same and offer the same set of features, powertrain and comfort. The only difference is the brand, Maruti and Toyota. Maruti Ertiga is available at a starting price of Rs 8.80 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 12.94 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top spec. Meanwhile, the Rumion starts at Rs 10.44 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 13.61 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top spec.

Both come equipped with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine, which belts out 102bhp and 137 Nm of torque. It comes paired either with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Notably, it also offers a CNG version with the same engine. Some of the key features include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless connectivity, Cruise control, rear parking camera, and rear AC vents for all three rows. The safety package includes 6-airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, hill-hold assist, ESP, and ISOFIX mounts.

3. Kia Carens

The Kia Carens is a versatile MPV that offers practicality along with features. The Kia Carens is available at a price tag of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in only one variant, Premium(O) 7. This variant comes with two engine options: a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel unit. Both come paired with a 6-speed manual transmission only. Meanwhile, it gets a decent set of features, including an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electrically Adjustable ORVMs, Keyless entry, 5 USB type ports and much more. However, the safety package includes six airbags, ESC, TPMS, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.

4.Kia Carens Clavis

The Kia Carens Clavis is a premium 7-seater MPV which offers practicality, features, along different powertrain options. The Kia Clavis comes at a starting price of Rs 11.07 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 18.68 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top spec. The engine options include a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Meanwhile, these come paired with 6-speed MT, 6-speed AT, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed iMT units. It comes loaded with features, including a 12.25-inch infotainment and 12.25-inch instrument cluster, Auto AC, Cruise control, wireless charger, dual pane sunroof and much more. However, in terms of safety, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, Level 2 ADAS suite.

Maruti Eeco

You won't be expecting this one, but yes, it's in the list despite being a six-seater MPV. The Maruti Eeco starts at Rs 5.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top spec. This affordable MPV comes powered by a 1197cc, K12N engine, which also comes in a CNG option. However, there are no such great features on offer, but still, the list includes AC, reclining front seats, a cabin air filter, a digital display instrument cluster, and captain seats for added comfort. Safety-wise, it has 6-airbags as standard, an engine immobiliser, child lock, 3-point seat belts, reverse parking sensors, and ABS with EBD.
