How much is the subsidy for Tata Tigor EV?
There are two types of subsidies, State Government subsidy and Fame ll subidy. The State Governemnt promotes the purchase of electric vehicles in each state according to their EV policies, which may or may not include a subsidy. The State subsidy amount needs to be claimed separately, post the delivery of the vehicle. FAME ll subsidy stands for Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles Phase II subsidy. It is introduced to promote the manufacturing and use of electric vehicles in India. It is a benefit given to reduce the upfront price of EV vehicle which can be 40% of the ex-showroom price or INR 15,000 per KWH of battery capacity. A person who has never claimed the FAME II subsidy before is eligible. The name on the identity proof must exactly match the name provided during the registration.
