Additionally, it features a slipper clutch and ride-by-wire technology, allowing for precise and controlled throttle modulation
3. Hardware
The TVS Apache RTR 310 boasts a sturdy yet lightweight aluminum trellis frame, reminiscent of the RR 310 model. Suspension-wise, the RTR features an upside-down fork/monoshock configuration, with the base model offering rear preload adjustability. It rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends, equipped with dual compound radial tires for enhanced grip. 4. Features: No Dearth
This is where it gets interesting. While the power figures and the legacy of the Apache moniker cast their spell, the feature list makes it even more enticing for the enthusiasts.
The TVS Apache RTR 310 offers a cutting-edge riding experience with features like full LED lighting, a digital TFT display with GoPro connectivity, smartphone integration for notifications and document storage, rider aids such as ABS, ride modes, and a climate control seat. It's equipped with a six-axis IMU for advanced cornering capabilities, including cornering ABS, traction control, and cruise control. Additionally, it features a tire pressure monitoring system and a bi-directional quick-shifter, making it a highly advanced and feature-packed motorcycle.
However, many of these features are available as a part of packages under TVS' Built To Order (BTS) customization program along with adjustable suspension.
5. Pricing And Rivals
The pricing of the TVS Apache RTR 310 starts at Rs. 2.42 lakhs ex-showroom. Meanwhile, with the segment that it targets, it rubs shoulders with the likes of the BMW G 310 R, KTM 390 Duke, Honda CB300R, and other bikes in the segment.
Verdict
With the launch of this bike from TVS, the rivals in the segment will face tough road ahead. It comes from the legacy that the Apache moniker has, combined with a nimble performan numbers and the host of advanced features on offer. With the pricing around the 2.4 lakh rupees mark, it will surely dwindle the sales of the rivaling options.
