1. Level-2 ADAS

ZX variant- Rs. 15.21 lakhs

The top-spec ZX variant of the Honda Elevate comes with a Level-2 ADAS suite of assistance features that help the driver avoid unfortunate incidents. It includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, auto high beam, road departure mitigation system, collision mitigation braking system, and more. This makes the Honda Elevate,a much more safer vehicle to operate on the roads.

Competition Check- The Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos both come with the ADAS functionality whereas the Maruti Grand Vitara and the Toyota Hyryder miss out on this one.

2. 10.25-inch Touchscreen Infotainment

ZX variant- Rs. 15.21 lakhs

Again reserved for the top-spec version, you get a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports wireless smartphone projection and offers a better viewing experience when compared to the 8-inch infotainment screen found on the lower variants ( excluding the base SV variant)

Competition Check- The Creta and Seltos come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system whereas the Grand Vitara and the Toyota Hyryder get a 9-inch screen in their higher trims.

3. Ventilated Seats ( As An Accessory)

As An Optional Accessory- Rs. 6,000

Honda Elevate didn't offer any seat ventilation when launched and was perceived a big miss when compared to its rivals. Compensating this missed tech, Honda is offering seat ventilation with massage function as a clip-on accessory at an Rs. 6,000 additional cost. The unit is attached on top od the front seats and draws power from the 12V socket. While it isn't very aesthetically pleasing with a car of this stature, it sure gets the job done. Mind you, if you are using the ventilated seats, you'll miss out on the 12V socket.

Competition Check- Hyundai Creta, Seltos, Hyryder, and the Grand Vitara also offer seat ventilation, but with a superior factory-fitted installation within the front seats.

4. 6 Airbags As Standard

Honda updated the safety of its Elevate and City models with a 6-airbag setup as standard. This makes the Honda Elevate much safer than before and is a welcome move by the brand.

Competition Check- The Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder, all come with a 6-airbag set-up, although it comes as standard with just the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. For the other rivals, you may find it in the top-spec variants only.

5. Electric Single Pane Sunroof

VX Variant onwards- Rs. 13.81 lakhs

Starting from its VX variant, the Honda Elevate comes with a single-pane electric sunroof. While this is one of the highly desired features amongst young age buyers, it misses out on a panoramic unit, even in its top-spec variant.

Competition Check-Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, and the Toyota Hyryder, all of the rival SUVs come with a panoramic sunroof, which is a big jump from the single-pane unit.

Verdict

The Japanese SUV came last to the party but managed to catch-up real quick. It has a lot to do with the refined enginem,a solid build quality, an elegant and timeless design, and a very practical set of features. However, it misses out on a diesel or hyrbid powertrain and a few key features like panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, and a few more neat upgrades.
